When was the last time you sat through an entire movie and read all the credits? You know those funny little names with weird job titles responsible for the pure cinematic masterpiece or hour and forty five minute crapfest you just witnessed. When you think about it, life is a lot like those movie credits. This spring Primitive decided to focus on some of their credits. That is, a few of the people that comprise the ongoing production known as Primitive. These folks not only support the brand by physically wearing the product but also by inspiring & motivating others with their passion for what they do. Without them the brand would not exist and without the credits in your life neither would you. Enjoy!

“Deferred Dreams” Exhibition @ Chinese American Museum
The Chinese American Museum is currently hosting an exhibition featuring 18 LA-based artists, most of whom are street artists who have either transposed their works onto gallery appropriate materials or have constructed new pieces for the show. Entitled “Deferred Dreams”, the exhibition draws on artists from a wide range of cultural backgrounds to emphasise that immigration reform is not restricted to the Latino community, a common misconception that is widely held in Los Angeles. Highlights include a collaborative piece by Shepard Fairey and Ernesto Yerena, photos and Altamont T-shirt by Eriberto Oriol and a sign by Tempt (who has Lou Gehrig Disease; meaning that he is entirely paralysed and must use a special system that allows him to draw using only his eyes). Deferred Dreams is free to the public and is set to run until May 22.
